So much to do, so little time. Not “do” in the chores sense, but do as in so many fun exciting things to experience, enjoy and learn and there’s not enough time in the day.
2015 was pivotal for me. I turned 50 at the end of the year and finally started to think about how I want to live my life and less about how I think other people expect me to live. Sometimes I think it’s a shame it took me so long, but then again, it was all a learning experience.
My first challenge in 2015 was to not purchase any new clothes. It’s not that I am obsessed with new clothes or anything, I just wanted to free myself from the shopping bug that occasionally bites me. I also wanted to learn how to sew better. So, my challenge was to only refashion thrift store clothes, or my own clothes, or make clothes from scratch. It was fun and a worthwhile experience that improved my sewing skills, and I have been continuing it through 2016, with a few minor exceptions.
Some of my posts are my refashions, I like to think of them as wearable art.
This website will probably end up with a little bit of everything, but I hope it will provide inspiration to others in living life to the fullest – no matter what that means to you.
